  • Born March 6, 1953 in Freeport, Texas. Attended primary and secondary schools in Oklahoma City and Indianapolis, IN. Graduated with Bachelors of Science in Medicine from Western Michigan University in 1985.
  • Served in the United States Air Force from 1971-1976. Combat Medical Corpman in the Special Forces. Para Rescue Team Leader – served in the Vietnam War.
  • Board Certified by the National Commission of the Certification of Physician Assistants since 1986. Licensed by the State of Michigan Task Force for Physician Assistants since 1986.
  • Certified Emergency Medical Technician 1977 – 1981.
  • Experience in Family Practice, Urology, Internal Medicine, Neurosurgery, Hand and Upper Extremity Reconstruction and Orthopedic Surgery including Trauma, Fracture Management, and Spine.
  • Privileged and Credentialed at Butterworth Hospital and Spectrum Health since 1988. Privileged obtained at Metropolitan Hospital since 2000.
  • Continuing Medical Education requirements kept in good standing for 20 years without interruption. ACLS and BCLS Certification current.
  • Member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
