The staff of Michigan Street Orthopedics Physical Therapy Specialists, P.C. is committed to providing compassionate, individualized, and comprehensive physical therapy treatments in order to return patients to their prior level of function, mobility, and independence as quickly and safely as possible. Our dedicated employees strive to maintain a positive, friendly environment and our therapists aim to provide the highest quality of rehabilitative care. The physical therapy professionals design and implement individualized treatment programs following the setting of function based goals at the 1 hour long, thorough initial evaluation. At follow-up visits, the patient’s satisfaction and personal goals are the #1 priority.

Kurt Lockman, DPT
- Received his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Michigan-Flint in 2005.

Kurt received his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Michigan-Flint in 2005. He also earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical and Health Sciences from Grand Valley State University in 2001 and a Bachelor of Science in Health from the University of Michigan in 2003. He began with Michigan Street Orthopedics Physical Therapy Specialists, P.C. in November 2006, moving back to the Grand Rapids area after working for Genesys Regional Medical Center as a staff physical therapist in Grand Blanc, MI. Kurt is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and Michigan Physical Therapy Association. As on-site clinical director, he is responsible for overseeing the patient care and daily operations of the clinic. He has served as a clinical instructor for both Physical Therapy and Physical Therapist Assistant students in the past. His physical therapy interests include sports-related rehabilitation, as well as post-surgical shoulder and knee cases. Future goals include pursuing an Orthopedic Specialist Certification from the APTA. Originally from Boyne City in Northern Michigan, Kurt enjoys running, skiing, working out, attending sporting events, and spending time with family and friends.
